The smitten kitchen cookbook project!

I’ve been itching for a new cooking project, and the idea of cooking through an entire cookbook crossed my mind. After surveying my cookbook collection, I decided on the smitten kitchen cookbook – because both and Deb Perelman’s accompanying cookbook are glorious.

I’ve already made a few things from the book, and they have all been delicious, so I am pretty excited to try out everything else!

I’m not going to put a time limit on this project, because I don’t want it to become stressful – this is just for fun. I’ll try to document here as much as possible with a photo, and I don’t plan on including recipes. If you want the recipes, you should buy the book!

Already made before the start of this project:

  • Leisurely pizza dough — will try again, didn’t come out well the first time due to old yeast
  • Slow cooker black bean ragout
  • Tomato-glazed meatloaves with brown butter mashed potatoes — only made the meatloaves, so will make again to make the potatoes as well
